The new form of bullying.
I've been watching the original Carrie with actress Sissy Spaceck and after I'll watch the 2013 remake Carrie with the young talented Chloe Grace Mortez. And this past September, I've finally read the novel. And I've seen how in the 2013 remake of Carrie how bullying has become at it's very worst! And I'm sure you all have too!
Let's look at the difference between the original Carrie and the 2013 remake.
In the original, the worst thing that could happen to Carrie, besides the pig blood prank. In the beginning of the film, Carrie had her period in the shower and was terrified, not knowing what was happening to her, had absolutely no knowledge that it's natural thing that girls in their adolescents go through, it was a part of blossoming into women. So Carrie runs to her other classmates wanting help. From there on out Carrie White becomes the talk of the school, she's pointed and laughed at, the girls gossip about her and call her names.
Now in 2013 remake, when Carrie goes through that frightening and humiliation ordeal of having her period, the meanest girl, Chris Hargenston, makes video of it and posts it online, shows it to other classmates and plays it at the prom for everyone to see.
Things have changed over the years since I was a Senior in high school! I never heard the words "Online" or "E-mail" and we have more than that! We have the social media which are a few of the things that are making bullying much much worst!
If I could had some power to do anything to make things a little better, I would help make it to be legal for only the ages 18 and up to have facebook and Twitter or any other social media accounts and able to post anything on YouTube!
