The new form of bullying.
I've been watching the original Carrie with actress Sissy Spaceck and after I'll watch the 2013 remake Carrie with the young talented Chloe Grace Mortez. And this past September, I've finally read the novel. And I've seen how in the 2013 remake of Carrie how bullying has become at it's very worst! And I'm sure you all have too!
Let's look at the difference between the original Carrie and the 2013 remake.
In the original, the worst thing that could happen to Carrie, besides the pig blood prank. In the beginning of the film, Carrie had her period in the shower and was terrified, not knowing what was happening to her, had absolutely no knowledge that it's natural thing that girls in their adolescents go through, it was a part of blossoming into women. So Carrie runs to her other classmates wanting help. From there on out Carrie White becomes the talk of the school, she's pointed and laughed at, the girls gossip about her and call her names.
Now in 2013 remake, when Carrie goes through that frightening and humiliation ordeal of having her period, the meanest girl, Chris Hargenston, makes video of it and posts it online, shows it to other classmates and plays it at the prom for everyone to see.
Things have changed over the years since I was a Senior in high school! I never heard the words "Online" or "E-mail" and we have more than that! We have the social media which are a few of the things that are making bullying much much worst!
If I could had some power to do anything to make things a little better, I would help make it to be legal for only the ages 18 and up to have facebook and Twitter or any other social media accounts and able to post anything on YouTube!

Don't let them win!
When I was in school and was bullied and outcasted, it was so bad through the last half of my Sophomore year my mother and I were talking about dropping out of school and going to work until my early twenties, then I can go back to adult education and get my GED.
I was gonna turn sixteen during the summer so it was the legal age for me to drop out of school.
During the last weeks of my sophomore year, this strong feeling came over me, the feeling of not wanting to quit, to keep going. And these thoughts were going over and over in my head. Something telling me "You've come a long way and you're almost there, you're almost at the finish line."
Through the first month of summer break I was doing a lot of thinking. I was thinking about how the kids and teachers were saying I would quit, how they would want me to quit and they would win if I quit and I was thinking about them gloating at the fact that I quit! I felt this spark lit in me! I can't quit! I won't quit!
On the the morning of my sixteenth birthday, my mother woke me up with "Happy birthday, my son! You can quit school!" And I gave my mother a big surprise with "I don't mean you any disrespect. But fuck no, I'm not dropping out! That's just what those assholes want! I'm gonna keep going to school and graduate!"
When bullies bring you down, beat you down, that's their main task! When they attack you physically or verbally, they want to bring you down to build themselves up because that's the only way they can!
I've noticed bullies in my school get really low grades and they try to make drag us down with them! And we cannot let them! I didn't let them!

It's hard for us to learn when we're being taunted and abused!
When kids go to school and their grades are slipping, they can't concentrate and can't stay on task. The teacher asks you what your problems are and you tell them what the problem is. That your fellow classmates and other students are physically abusing you, calling you names, making threats and such. The teacher and/or the others school staff tells you to just "ignore it" and lectures you on how you have got to stop letting it get to you like it's such a simple solution!
Well, let me teach you something that they are too stupid know and/or they are just being to lazy to take action and come up with a solution to your problem!
When I was in school and I was getting abused physically, verbally, being threatened - and of course like all the rest of the kids who are being bullied, it started when I started in the 6th grade - the teachers and the rest of the school staff weren't paying attention or taking it seriously. I couldn't focus on anything except what I was going through. I was overwhelmed with fear, hurt, humiliation and worry.
There was a teacher I had in the 7th and 8th grade who was another one of those teachers who thought my solution was simple...you know..."Just avoid it." And he taught Biology and Science. And in the subject, he taught about how the brain works, what helps it function and what can damage it.
Well, let me teach them about how our brain functions while we're being tormented day in and day out!
The ones who weren't bullied and had a care free life in school, they had a clear mind, so of course, they were able to concentrate and absorb what they were taught and what they studied. But the ones who been beaten, threatened, had hurtful and humiliating things said to them and been embarrassed on an everyday basis, that's all the have on their mind. They can't absorb what they're taught in their classes when when hurt, worry and humility is going through their mind!
So, there you have it, my lesson about how the brain functions. When your mind is clear it absorbs, when it full of bad things like hurt, worry, humility and embarrassment it CAN'T absorb!
They need to do something for these students who are being bullied so they can feel at eased and and they can learn and get good grades and graduate! I mean that's what parents send their kids to school for! To learn!
